This privacy notice for Liz Moore Destination Weddings, Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”) explains how and why we collect, store, use and share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:
If you don’t agree with this notice, please don’t use our Services. If you have questions, contact us at sales@lizmooreweddings.com.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily give us when you request a consultation, contact us, reply to our messages or otherwise interact with our Services. This may include:
We do not process sensitive personal information. All personal information you give us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must tell us if it changes.
When you visit the Website, we automatically collect certain technical information. It doesn’t reveal your identity by itself, but it may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, country or approximate location, and how and when you use the Website. We use it to keep the Website secure and working, and for internal analytics and reporting. We collect some of it through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
The automatically collected information includes:
We process your information to provide, improve and administer our Services, to communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with the law. Specifically, we use it:
This section applies if you give us your mobile number and opt in to receive text messages from us. It works alongside the SMS section of our Terms and Conditions.
When you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number, a record of your consent (the date, time, form and wording you agreed to), the messages we exchange with you, and delivery and status data for messages we send, such as whether a message was delivered.
We use this information only to send you service messages about your enquiry, such as consultation confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling changes and replies to your questions, and to keep a record of your consent and opt-out choices. A new enquiry typically receives 4 to 6 messages in total before their consultation. We do not send promotional or marketing texts under this programme.
Text messages are sent through third-party service providers that we use to run our business, including our CRM and messaging platform and the wireless carriers that deliver the messages. They process your number and message content only to deliver messages for us and are not permitted to use them for their own purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Consent to text messages is optional and is not a condition of requesting a consultation or buying anything from us. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. You can also opt out by contacting us at 1-778-578-7555 or sales@lizmooreweddings.com. After you opt out, we will send one confirmation message and then stop texting you. We keep a record of your consent and opt-out for as long as the law requires so that we can honour your choice.
If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.
We process your information if you have given us specific permission (express consent) for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (implied consent). We rely on express consent to send you text messages. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
In some exceptional cases, applicable law may allow us to process your information without your consent. For example:
We don’t sell your personal information. We may share it in these situations:
We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, Google analytics and Meta pixels, to access or store information. They help the Website work, show us how visitors use it, and let us measure how well our marketing performs. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can usually set yours to remove or reject them. If you do, some features of the Website may not work properly.
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this notice, unless the law requires or permits a longer period (for example for tax or accounting reasons). We also keep records of SMS consent and opt-outs for as long as needed to show that we honoured your choices.
When we no longer need your personal information, we delete or anonymise it. If that isn’t possible (for example because it sits in backup archives), we store it securely and keep it out of any further use until it can be deleted.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we process. No electronic transmission over the internet or method of storage is 100% secure, though, so we can’t guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorised parties will never defeat our safeguards and access, steal or change your information. Sending personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk, and you should only use the Services in a secure environment.
We do not knowingly collect data from, or market to, anyone under 18. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to their use of the Services. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, contact us at sales@lizmooreweddings.com.
In some regions, such as Canada, you have rights that give you more access to and control over your personal information. These may include the right to:
In some circumstances you may also have the right to object to how we process your information. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We will consider and act on any request in line with applicable data protection laws.
Withdrawing your consent. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. For text messages, the quickest way is to reply STOP. For anything else, contact us using the details in section 14. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it, or processing we carry out on other lawful grounds where the law allows.
Cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can usually set your browser to remove or reject them, which may affect some features of the Services.
If you have questions about your privacy rights, email sales@lizmooreweddings.com.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) setting that signals you don’t want data about your online browsing monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognising DNT signals has been finalised, so we don’t currently respond to DNT signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will tell you in a revised version of this notice.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia, you have specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, known as the “Shine The Light” law, lets California residents request from us, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, and the names and addresses of all third parties we shared it with in the previous calendar year. To make a request, write to us using the contact information in section 14.
If you are under 18, live in California and have a registered account with the Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services. To request removal, contact us using the details in section 14 and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you live in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Services, but it may not be completely removed from all our systems (for example, backups).
This section applies only to California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the following rights.
The California Code of Regulations defines a “resident” as (1) every individual who is in California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose, and (2) every individual who is domiciled in California but is outside the state for a temporary or transitory purpose. All other individuals are “non-residents”. If this definition applies to you, we must follow certain rules about your personal information.
Right to delete. You can ask us to delete your personal information. We will do so, subject to exceptions in the law, such as another consumer’s exercise of free speech, our legal compliance requirements, or processing needed to protect against illegal activity.
Right to know. Depending on the circumstances, you have a right to know:
We are not obliged to provide or delete de-identified consumer information in response to a request, or to re-identify individual data.
Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We do not process sensitive personal information.
Verification. When we receive a request, we need to verify that you are the person whose information we hold. We may ask you for information that we can match to what you have previously given us, or contact you by a method you have already provided, such as phone or email. We use the information in your request only to verify your identity or authority to make it, and we delete any additional information you give us for verification as soon as we finish.
Other rights. You may object to the processing of your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated data, or ask us to restrict processing. You can designate an authorised agent to make a request for you, and we may deny a request from an agent who doesn’t provide proof of authorisation. You may ask us to stop any future selling or sharing of your personal information, and we will act as soon as feasible and no later than fifteen (15) days after your request.
To exercise these rights, email sales@lizmooreweddings.com, visit https://www.lizmooredestinationweddings.com/contact-us/, or use the contact details in section 14. If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, we want to hear from you.
This section applies only to residents of Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act), Connecticut (Connecticut Data Privacy Act) and Utah (Utah Consumer Privacy Act). These rights are not absolute, and in some cases we may decline your request as the law permits. Depending on your state, you have the right to:
To make a request, email sales@lizmooreweddings.com or visit https://www.lizmooredestinationweddings.com/contact-us/.
If we decline your request and you want to appeal, email us at sales@lizmooreweddings.com. For Colorado residents, we will respond in writing within forty-five (45) days of receiving your appeal. For Connecticut residents, we will respond within sixty (60) days. Our response will explain any action taken or not taken and the reasons.
Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), a “consumer” is a natural person who lives in Virginia and acts only in an individual or household context, not a commercial or employment context. “Personal data” means any information linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable person, and doesn’t include de-identified or publicly available information. “Sale of personal data” means exchanging personal data for money. If you are a consumer, you have the right to:
To exercise your rights, email sales@lizmooreweddings.com or visit https://www.lizmooredestinationweddings.com/contact-us/. If you use an authorized agent, we may deny the request if the agent doesn’t provide proof of authorization.
We may ask for additional information reasonably needed to verify you and your request. We will respond without undue delay and in any case within forty-five (45) days of receiving it. We may extend that once by a further forty-five (45) days when reasonably necessary, and we will tell you of the extension and the reason within the first 45 days.
If we decline your request, we will tell you why. To appeal, email sales@lizmooreweddings.com. We will respond in writing within sixty (60) days of receiving your appeal, explaining any action taken or not taken and why. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General to submit a complaint.
